Rita Rodriguez Padilla died in her home with her loved ones by her side on September 9, 2017.

She was born in Houston, Texas to Clorinda Miera Rodriguez and Frank Rodriguez, and raised by Antonio and Elvira Rodriguez. At the age of 16 she married her husband Hector Padilla. Rita was known to all as "Momo" and was the heart of her family and a very strong-willed woman. She loved her family dearly.

She fought several illnesses for a few years and in her last two months of life showed how determined...

Rita Rodriguez Padilla died in her home with her loved ones by her side on September 9, 2017.

She was born in Houston, Texas to Clorinda Miera Rodriguez and Frank Rodriguez, and raised by Antonio and Elvira Rodriguez. At the age of 16 she married her husband Hector Padilla. Rita was known to all as "Momo" and was the heart of her family and a very strong-willed woman. She loved her family dearly.

She fought several illnesses for a few years and in her last two months of life showed how determined and strong she was by trying to fight and hang on to be with her loved ones. She overcame all her suffering and pain by the spiritual healing that comforted her till her last breath.

Rita Padilla truly was the "Godmother" of her family.

She is survived by her husband Hector Padilla; her two daughters Veronica Laura DeLeon and Diane Elizabeth Padilla-Corona. Her granddaughters: Vanessa Herrera, Brittany Macias and Valerie Gonzalez; Grandsons: Alejandro Padilla Macias Jr., Matthew Christopher Macias and Victor Gonzalez; Great Grandsons: Jesse Herrera III, Matthew Macias Jr., Noah Macias and Christopher Joseph Macias; Great Granddaughters: Alexandra Grace Macias and soon to arrive Penelope Macias; and Godson: Roger Soto.

She had 6 brothers and 2 sisters along with several nieces and nephews.

Rita "Momo" was loved by many and will be missed very much by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 14, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 pm with Rosary Ceremony at 7:00 pm

Chapel Services will be at 10:00 am Friday September 15, 2017 followed by burial service at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway
Houston, Texas 77060.
