Leonard Kendall, 76, was called to be with our Lord on May 19, 2017 at his home surrounded by his wife of 51 years, Mary Francis Kendall, family, and friends.

Born in Ft. Pierce, Florida on January 10, 1941 to William and Jean Kendall. He graduated from Dan McCarthy High school and joined the Army on March 21, 1961 and served our country for 6 years. Leonard married his wife, Mary Francis, on September 26, 1965 and retired from Wyman Gordon in 2000 as a machinist.

Leonard and Mary Francis are devout Catholics and parishioners at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Spring, TX. Leonard loved all sports and truly enjoyed coaching both his sons' youth baseball and football teams. He had season tickets to the Houston Oilers and Houston Texans football games and he loved the Florida Gators, as well. Saturdays, during football season, were spent in front of the TV watching college football. He also loved to fish, especially saltwater fishing. However, the one thing he loved the most was spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, dad and grandfather who was always ready to help in any way needed. Watching his grandchildren excel in school, sports and other activities was his favorite pastime. He was so proud of both his sons and all their accomplishments. Leonard will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and friends, his huge heart, his caring personality and his witty ways that continued until his very last moment with us here on earth.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Francis, his son Lenny, wife Tyana, and their children, Keaten, Kyleigh, and Blakleigh and his son Lawrence, wife Becky, and their children: Destiney, Britney, Ashley and Kayla along with his brother Marion and his family, and his sister Elizabeth and her family. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, William and Jean, and his brother Pete.

A viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery located at 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060. His funeral will be held at the same location on Thursday, May, 25, 2017 at 9:30 AM. A gravesite ceremony will follow.
