Her professional life was at Houston's City Hall where she ran the tax department for 32 years. Prior to that she worked at Firestone as a young woman and cleaned houses for ladies in the neighborhood in her teen years.

Eunice was the wife of Marvin Kent and they were married over 50 years before Marvin died. One of her most cherished things in life was her two grandsons, Buck and Barry. As the boys were growing up they ran their MaMa all around Houston getting all sorts of things. She was truly best friends with her son-in-law, Rick.

And now to her daughter, Marlene. Eunice adored her daughter and they had such a friendship. They had challenging times and fun times as Marlene grew up. Marlene knew she could count on her mother when the chips were down.

Eunice was currently living in a beautiful assisted living facility, Avanti Towne Lake. She was one of the first residents and enjoyed painting, the book club, playing cards, and was a cracker jack bingo player. The family wishes to express our appreciation to Avanti, the staff, and the many caregivers. Her last two years there were some of her happiest of times.

Visitation will be at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home at 13102 North Freeway on Wednesday, June 21st from 5 - 7pm. Funeral services will be
on Thursday at 10:00am at Earthman Resthaven Chapel. Refreshments and food will be served at a reception following the funeral services.
