Delia Vega Botello, 72 of Houston went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 21, 2016. Delia was born on June 19, 1944, where she was raised on the outskirts of downtown Houston and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1962. Sister Dee was a founding member of the Philadelphia Christian Church in the Denver Harbor area, which her father, REV. Florencio Vega SR. founded in April of 1971. As a woman of God, she enjoyed serving the Lord and others. Her heart, home and kitchen was always open to friends and family....

Delia Vega Botello, 72 of Houston went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 21, 2016. Delia was born on June 19, 1944, where she was raised on the outskirts of downtown Houston and graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1962. Sister Dee was a founding member of the Philadelphia Christian Church in the Denver Harbor area, which her father, REV. Florencio Vega SR. founded in April of 1971. As a woman of God, she enjoyed serving the Lord and others. Her heart, home and kitchen was always open to friends and family. In her later years she enjoyed working with children as she served and retired from the Houston Independent School District as an administrator for 16 years. She was loved by all and will truly be missed. Our loss is the Lords gain.
Mrs. Botello was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years; Elijio "Sonny" Botello SR., great-grandson, Isaac Rosas and great-granddaughter Sophia Christine Botello. She is survived by sons, Elijio Botello JR., Aaron Abel Botello SR., Adrian Andrew Botello and Ephraim Botello; her daughters-in-law, Karina Botello and Victoria Botello; 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Velia Castaneda and sister-in-law Bertha Vega.
The visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway from 5:00 PM 8:00 PM Sunday, November 27, 2016 with a brief service. The Burial Service will follow Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM with interment to immediately follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
